Oilpatch layoffs continue in Alberta – impacting the still-working Baby Boomer generation which is causing experts to warn us of a future skilled worker shortage. Randy Upright, Chief Executive of Manpower’s Alberta Region, has noted that “Our demographics — and I’m specifically referring to the Baby Boomer bubble — most certainly mean that our future economy is going to be impacted.”

Industry experts are weighing in on long term impacts as Baby Boomers begin moving out of the workforce and remind us not to lose sight of long-term possibilities of skilled labor shortages as the economy seeks to recover.  Read more at the Calgary Herald
