Kindness begins with YOU and ALL of US! At Manpower, we come to work every day because we believe in helping people and that every positive change, whether small or large, matters in someone’s life; but we want to do more! It is the small moments in life that can have the biggest impact and leave lasting impressions. We all get caught up in the stresses and demands of individual life that it is easy to forget about everyone around us and the community we are a part of. It is no surprise that the current market has left thousands of our people without jobs while creating stressful circumstances; we all know of individuals and families that are in need right now. Manpower wants to spread the positivity this spring by initiating our Acts of Kindness Campaign. One person can make a difference and together as a team, we can achieve greatness. Kindness is infectious and one small random act towards another person may inspire another and another! Whether it is a simple smile to a stranger, holding a door open for someone or donating food, money or clothing to those in the most need; every smile matters and every good deed is a step in the right direction of creating positivity.
To kick off our campaign, our Client Solutions Leader, Ahmed Borhot and Client Solutions Specialist, Tony Schreiber went to the local grocery store and bought bags of nonperishable food items to donate to the food bank. It was an absolutely eye opening experience as we all know the economy is in bad shape but what we saw really brought it to the forefront. There was no space in the parking lot as cars were lined up onto the road waiting to get a hamper; we ended up parking about a block away. After dropping off the food it was a mix of emotions as it was very rewarding but it also brought forth the realization of just how hard the downturn has hit our community.
We want to hear from you and help spread as much positivity as we possibly can! We’d love to see your photographs and hear your stories and comments of random acts of kindness. Our goal is to achieve 100 random acts, but let’s surpass that! Just by sharing our individual stories and ideas, we can all help to inspire others and really make a difference during a time it is needed the most.
