On June 12, Manpower is releasing the third quarterly Employment Outlook Survey. The Manpower Employment Outlook Survey (MEOS) is a highly trusted global survey of employment activity. Manpower has been conducting this survey for over 50 years and continues to maintain accuracy . The survey asks a pool of 1,936 employers in Canada across all sectors the same question: What are your hiring trends for the next 3 months? Employers will respond with 4 answers: Increase, Decrease, Stay the Same or “Unsure.” Based on these results, Manpower is able to determine what the hiring trends are for each sector over the next quarter.

The Manpower Employment Outlook Survey measures employers’ intentions to increase or decrease the number of employees in their workforces over the next quarter. For job seekers, this information can help target job search with details on the best locations to find jobs and the industries which are hiring. The MEOS provides information on talent and skills shortage, helping workers and job seekers understand the skills gap allowing them to adapt and refine their skills to acquire top-paying jobs.

MEOS is beneficial for employers when determining what the trends are suggesting in the market and tracking top talent.
