Manpower’s Career Reach Workplace Training Program is a government-funded No Cost service which provides employer-delivered on-the-job training and work experience opportunities to a limited number of unemployed Albertans who are having difficulty entering the workforce due to limited or no work experience and/or lack of skills.
How it Works
Eligible employers agree to train and provide work experience for a specific period of time, with the expectation of continued employment for that individual. The position must be full-time with a minimum of 30 hours per week. Wage reimbursement is provided to eligible employers to off-set the cost of training on the job.
An initial assessment is required of the company and candidate to establish eligibility. Our experienced Job Developer will provide you with support throughout the process from completing necessary documents to developing a training plan to working with your new employee to ensure productivity and success.
**All paperwork must be in place before hiring an individual for this program**
Each training contract is negotiated based on the needs of the individual, the nature of the job, and complexity of training provided. Please contact the Career Reach team for further information.
