Manpower is looking for a Program Coordinator to join our emPOWER Women in Trades Program in Calgary in a full-time permanent position.

In this role you will be responsible for providing overall coordination of program activities, administration, reporting and client support to the program participants. We believe that it is important to place the right people in the right roles – that our people are integral to the business and a major reason for its success!

In this role, you will:
• Conduct program pre-qualification telephone pre-screens, determine prospect eligibility for the program and conduct intake interviews and assessments
• Work closely with the Program Manager and the Educational Institution team to become acquainted with the trainees in the program and their service needs

• Deliver Employment Readiness Skills workshops
• Conduct marketing and promotional activities for the program in the community and within the industry
• Provide one-on-one assistance and support to trainees as needed in their job search activities including assistance with job applications and follow up calls to employers
• Conduct Mock Interviews and Interview preparation activities with trainees as needed
• Track current clients in the program and prepare billing information
• Prepare monthly invoicing with a breakdown of deliverables
  • Track and provide reports on client activity and progression in training
• Social media savy

• Interest and enthusiasm for the trades as well as a passion for supporting women with career development opportunities and reaching their career goals in the skilled trades industry
• Relevant post-secondary education

• Client-focused and able to effectively manage client needs with a high degree of initiative
• Strong commitment and desire to help women reach their goals
• Strong knowledge of effective job searching techniques and strategies
• Ability to exercise a high degree of independent decision making and judgement
• Resiliency and flexibility to adapt to a changing environment
• Communicates in a clear, concise and fluent manner both verbally and in writing with excellent interpersonal skills
• Results focused, organized and able to meet deadlines
• Advanced MS Office skills; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Strong administrative skills; data entry, document and file management
• Cultural sensitivity; ability to work with and relate to diverse individuals
• Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information in a tactful and professional manner
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
• Experienced on various social media platforms
