Career Construct is a no-cost, government-funded training program in Airdrie, offered through Manpower Alberta. Designed for unemployed or underemployed Albertans, it provides industry-specific training, hands-on experience, and direct employer connections to help you start or advance your career in construction.

Funded by the Alberta Ministry of Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration.

12 Weeks of Construction Focused Skills Training

Providing you on-site, industry-specific training, hands-on experience, and employer connections to help you transition into sustainable employment. Whether you are seeking a career in construction or have been in construction and look to get into another role.

 

You will complete industry-recognized safety certifications before placement, including but not limited to Common Safety Orientation (CSO), Forklift Operator Training, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), and Confined Space Entry (CSE) among others

Eligibility Requirements
  • Reside in Alberta and be legally eligible to work in the province
  • Currently unemployed or underemployed
  • Available and motivated to seek employment
  • Have a realistic employment goal in the construction sector
  • Open to receiving guidance, support, guidance and coaching
  • Individuals receiving or eligible for regular EI are invited to participate.
